Builder of Excellence!

Bois-Franc Neighborhood

Drawing on its expertise in the design, development and construction of multi-residential projects, Groupe Montclair won the Construire Award from the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ) last May, earning the prestigious title of Builder of Excellence.

With this recognition, the ACQ sought to highlight the 75-year history of this family-owned company, where attention to detail is part of a long-standing tradition of excellence.

“This award represents a great mark of recognition from our peers in the industry. There is a lot of competition. There are many major players on the market right now. Being ranked among the best in Montreal, if not the best, is a great source of pride for us,” says Nicolas Galardo, Partner and Director of Sales and Marketing at Groupe Montclair.

He runs the company alongside three other partners: Project Manager Henrik Houle; Foreman Stéphane Geoffroy; and his father Greg, who is helping pass the torch of the family business.

“We are the new generation! When the previous generation saw that we were taking our place properly, they let us take the reins,” explains Nicolas Galardo.

A Winning Formula

Groupe Montclair does not only build high-quality residences, but also seeks to reduce the ecological footprint of each one.

To achieve this, it complies with regulations and pays close attention to all environmental aspects during the planning and construction of its projects, notably by striving to obtain LEED certifications.

Whether in terms of energy efficiency or soundproofing, Montclair maintains very high standards.

Montclair projects also stand out for their impressive interior design and architecture, which do not go out of style. Buyers can choose from several varied models.

“When it comes to design, we try to introduce new trends. We don’t limit ourselves to what is being done in Montreal,” he adds.

In fact, Montclair’s consultants stay alert to emerging trends around the world, particularly in Europe, and draw inspiration from them.

At a time when the market is going through what can be described as a “dry spell,” these criteria distinguish Groupe Montclair’s homes from those of its competitors.

“Since the real estate sector is very competitive, we have to determine what will give us a competitive advantage. All of these elements together form a winning formula. That’s what makes us competitive compared to other developers,” evaluates Mr. Galardo.

After-Sales Service

The developer is proud to uphold the reputation it has built, one home at a time.

“In the borough, clients who purchase one of our condos often come from Saint-Laurent. People know us and talk about us. We rely heavily on word of mouth to attract new clients. One of the components of our reputation and success is our after-sales service.”

“We offer after-sales service that extends for one year after the completion of work to all our clients. We leave nothing aside. If there are any inconveniences or requests for touch-ups, we are always there to help and correct the issue,” he assures.

In other words, the homes delivered to clients are taken care of from A to Z. This ensures that clients end up with a quality product that will never cause them problems.

Strong Potential

Groupe Montclair works closely with its subcontractors, often bonded by long-standing relationships, as well as with stakeholders and borough officials to obtain project approval.

The developer demonstrates patience at every stage, as authorization procedures have become increasingly complex over the years.

“When it comes to urban planning, everything must integrate well with the neighborhood. There has to be a certain homogeneity, which is entirely legitimate. At the same time, all of this adds several steps to the construction process,” he admits.

In addition to integrating well into the neighborhood, housing projects in Bois-Franc meet the density objectives promoted for municipal growth.

The development potential of the area, which is far from fully exploited, will certainly keep Groupe Montclair busy for many years to come.

“There is potential to build 750 new condos,” states Mr. Galardo.
